Postpartum Doula Services
A postpartum doula is a lifeline of hands-on care, non-judgmental support, and practical knowledge. She seeks to facilitate a smooth and rewarding transition for new parents and babies. She is trained in postpartum adjustment; newborn care, feeding, and development; and parent-infant bonding.
Depending on your needs, our services can include breastfeeding techniques and skills; infant care and soothing skills; listening and companionship; help with light household tasks (meals, laundry, dishes, etc.); rest and care for the mother; short-term care of the baby and children; gentle reassurance and confidence-building; help with multiples or a premature baby; referrals to trusted specialists and resources; and encouragement of support networks.
