Christine attended midwifery school in Ashland, OR in 2002 and fell in love with the miracle of pregnancy and birth. Soon thereafter she moved to Alaska to apprentice at the Juneau Family Birth Center with four Certified Professional Midwives. After 8 months in Alaska, Christine took a break from midwifery and focused on family while finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies at MSU and giving birth at home to her son in Belgrade, MT.

Christine started at the Birth Place as an office assistant in February, 2011 and moved into the role of student midwife in August, 2011. Christine is currently a student of Aviva Institute. She also is a Reiki Master. (Christine received her initial Reiki training at the Juneau Family Birth Center). She offers Reiki to Birth Place clients as appropriate as well as has clients and Reiki students outside the midwifery practice. Christine celebrates women on all walks of life, but particularly enjoys helping mothers through the transformative time of pregnancy and birth.
